Around Brookline
For those staying at the Holiday Inn Brookline, at 1200 Beacon Street, the hotel itself serves breakfast in its Atrium Restaurant. They feature a full breakfast buffet including omelettes, eggs and waffles made to order.
There are a number of other options for breakfast and lunch.
Offbeat: Paris Creperie in Coolidge Corner. 10 minutes.
Our favorite in the neighborhood is Zaftigs, in Coolidge Corner, a somewhat traditional deli (open on the Sabbath). 5 minutes.
One of the reputed haunts of Whitey Bulger is the Busy Bee restaurant, towards Boston on Beacon Street for "a snack or meal". 10 minutes.
A kosher option is Ruben's, down Harvard Street towards Allston. 15 minutes.
And, if you can't get enough Turkish food, the Family Restaurant serves breakfast, as well. 15 minutes.
